  1. A change of seasons (from summer to autumn) is visually and emotionally effectively portrayed through a change of colors (from green to burning red).

    Kris's timely and beautidully crafted minimalist tanka reminds me of the following Chinese saying:

    The falling of one leaf heralds the coming of autumn
