Bio Sketch

Barbara Tate is an award winning artist and writer.  Her work has appeared in Modern Haiku, Frogpond, Cattails, Whispers, Bear Creek Haiku, The Heron's Nest, Storyteller Magazine, Magnolia Quarterly Iconoclast and Santa Fe Literary Review, among others.  She currently resides in Winchester, TN.

  1. L1 establishes the theme and mood for the poem while the symbolically rich and visually arresting image in Ls 2&3 infuses new emotional meanings into the colors of the rainbow and the color ("gold") of a puddle (as implied in L2).
